Find bone fragility in the X-rays you already take

Turn existing imaging into opportunity. TBS Reveal™ analyses routine X-rays to surface bone-fragility risk, opportunistically identifying patients who may benefit from further bone-health assessment, before a first fracture.

Overview

Turn everyday X-rays into earlier answers

Osteoporosis often goes undetected until a fracture occurs. More than 70% of patients with fragility fractures are never tested or treated for osteoporosis1, and yet millions undergo routine X-rays every year for unrelated reasons.

Adding TBS® to routine X-rays (spine, chest, abdomen, or pelvis showing two or more lumbar vertebrae) TBS Reveal™ surfaces bone-fragility risk opportunistically, complementing — not replacing — established assessment pathways.

How it works

A single Bone Fragility Index, from a routine X-ray

1

Start with an X-ray

Any routine radiograph of the spine, chest, abdomen, or pelvis that includes two or more lumbar vertebrae. No new scan, no new visit.

2

AI + TBS analysis

Advanced image-feature analysis and AI combine bone mass (BMD) with Medimaps' patented TBS® technology to assess both bone quantity and quality.

3

A composite fragility index

The result is a single Bone Fragility Index that flags patients at very high risk for referral to confirmatory bone-health assessment.

The evidence

Validated across 18,858 radiographs and five clinical sites

A multinational study analysed 18,858 lumbar-spine radiographs with paired DXA scans from 11,138 adults across five clinical sites in Europe and the United States demonstrated consistent performance across internal, external, and ethnically diverse cohorts.2

Routine X-rays are performed every day across healthcare systems, often in patients who may already have unrecognised bone fragility risk. TBS Reveal is designed to help turn these existing images into an opportunity for earlier identification.
